RED RAIDERS WIN STATE
LEGION CHAMPIONSHIP

The Northwest Red Raiders won their first State of Arizona American Legion Championship on July 31 by beating Tucson Mayhem up at the Spring Training facility of the Texas Rangers in Surprise, Arizona, by a score of 3-2. The Red Raiders went 4-1 in the tournament. The Red Raiders finished fourth place during the regular season of the Tucson Legion League, but put it all together to capture its first state championship.

The Red Raiders will advance to the American Legion Western Regional tournament that will be played on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas starting on Thursday, August 5th against the Colorado State Champion.
